Super Blogging Not For Sissies
There’s amateur blogging, there’s pro blogging and then there’s “super blogging.” Here at AngelReyesBlog.com, when a news article comes out about a dangerous product, 18-wheeler accident or even an award I've won, I blog about it. But for the Super Bloggers, blogging takes on a whole new meaning. Honestly, I don’t know how they do it! These people are obviously very committed to their task, and you’ve got to admire them for that. It takes a lot of courage, time, effort and intellect to be a true Super Blogger. You’ve gotta be tough and more often than not, you’ve gotta be rough.
When it comes to Super Blogging, I’d say no one does it better than Brian Cuban, and his blog The Cuban Revolution. Brian isn’t just Mark Cuban’s brother; he’s a celebrity in his own right. Brian’s taken a lot of heat from many of his posts, but as any good shock jock will tell you, without controversy, you’ve got no audience. Let’s use this one as an example:

As you can see, there are no holds barred when it comes to telling Debbie Schlussel, a highly controversial super blogger in her own right, what’s what. For example, let’s take this quote: “You are a pillar of the community Debbie. A community of racist, bigoted hate mongering Islamophobes.” I’m sure you’ll agree that Brian’s passion for fighting racism and religious bigotry comes through loud and clear.
But super blogging doesn’t stop with a controversial post. You’ve got to get comments from your readers, and you must comment back, sparing no feelings. So how do you get readers? You must take that post and Facebook it, "Tweet" (Twitter) it, Digg it, send out a press release about it, advertise it if you have to but just get it out there any way you can. And when you’re in a hot discussion on Twitter, don’t sugar-coat it! Notice the back and forth tweets between Brian and Debbie mentioned in the above post. Wow! I would love to watch a televised debate between these two. I’ll bet even Dancing With The Stars would come in a dismal second in the ratings.
Now let’s look at Debbie’s blog, http://www.debbieschlussel.com. This one’s filled with some pretty powerful anti-Islamic stuff. Click here for an example. Debbie is definitely not going to win any popularity contests with the Muslim community. In fact, one could go so far as to say she’s taking some major backlash with what Brian calls her “Islamophobia.” Furthermore, Brian is taking some serious risks in offending the plethora of hate-mongering organizations out there who if given the opportunity, would commit mass genocide against all Muslims, African Americans, Jews, Hispanics, Asians…well, you get the idea.
While Brian and Debbie both have strongly conflicting views, they have one thing in common - they speak their minds. And neither gives a rat’s butt about what anyone else thinks That’s the modus operandi of a true Super Blogger. And that’s what makes today’s cyber-world go ‘round.
